Starting psychotherapy can feel like a big step, and you may have questions about what to expect. If you are considering psychotherapy with me, you are welcome to get in touch to ask a question or arrange an initial consultation.
Fees
£90
per 50-minute session
Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place once weekly, although we may agree to meet more or less frequently depending on your needs and the nature of our work.
I currently offer psychotherapy online to adults across the UK. I am also making arrangements to offer face-to-face appointments in South Devon. If you would prefer to meet in person, you're welcome to get in touch and register your interest.
If you would like to speak briefly before arranging an initial consultation, I offer an optional 15-minute introductory call at no charge.
Initial consultations are also 50 minutes and are charged at the standard session fee of £90.
Fees are payable by bank transfer. Payment and cancellation arrangements will be discussed before we begin working together.
Initial consultation
If, following an introductory call or initial enquiry, you would like to meet, the next step is a 50-minute initial consultation.
An initial consultation gives us an opportunity to think together about what has brought you to psychotherapy and what you would like help with.
It also gives us a chance to see how it feels to talk together and whether I might be the right therapist for you. I may ask a little about your current circumstances, relationships and any previous experiences of therapy or mental health support where relevant.
There is no obligation to continue beyond the initial consultation. If we decide to work together, we can think about whether a more focused or longer-term approach would be most helpful.
